In the Romagna region of Italy, the Turchi presses their green olives between granite millstones to release amazingly-fragrant juices. The family has been pressing oil in this historic mill for 400 years and the chance to spend an afternoon with them was a highlight of a recent visit to the rustic and beautiful region. Next time I visit, I’ll stay at the Turchi’s lovely country guest house. Locanda della Luna.
